Have you ever been curious about DID Fit and wanted to check us out? Well…now you don’t have to be! Come join our family for many of the fun fitness activities that our studio has to offer. Have questions? Check out some of our most frequently asked questions and answers below:

Q: What is your cancellation policy?

A: We ask that you cancel at least two (2) hours prior to your class start time. You can do this by calling us, emailing, texting, or on the MindBody App. If not canceled prior to the two (2) hours you will still be charged for the class. An instructor may cancel class if there are no sign ups within 2 hours of the start time.

Cardio and Dance Classes

Q: What should I wear to class?

A: For our cardio and dance classes we recommend comfortable pants or shorts and shirt. In all of theses classes you can expect squats, kicks, and lunges so be sure your pants aren't too tight!

Q: Should I wear shoes to class?

A: We recommend you always wear socks and tennis shoes. If your instructor decides differently, well then you will always have your bear feet with you!

Q. Do I need to have my own yoga mat and blocks?

A. We have lots of mats here at the studio that are cleaned on a daily basis, but it never hurts to have your own! We also have a few sets of blocks, but sometimes the class fills up and the blocks run out.

Aerial Classes

Q: What should I wear to class?

A: Short “booty” shorts and a tank/sports bra are best when coming to pole fitness class. For Silks/Lyra we recommend leggings and a t-shirt or a long sleeve shirt. Come dressed for comfort during cardio classes

Q: Should I wear shoes to class?

A: With pole, that is up to you. Many people find it easiest to come in and go barefoot during class. As you become more experienced, you can add in some high heels if you’d like!  For Silks/Lyra you will definitely need to be barefoot or in socks. Some cardio classes require shoes

Q: Do I have to master everything in each level before moving on?

A: No! You can stay in a class as long as you’d like. We do ask that you are able to complete a large portion of the moves before moving on. Your instructor can help guide you and determine when you are ready to take the next step.

Q: I think I’m too old to participate in this sport. Do you have an age limit?

A: No! We have ladies of all ages and from different walks of life that participate in our classes. Ladies of all ages are welcome!  :)

Q: When are your classes?

A: We offer classes several days a week. Our most up to date classes can be found on our Services tab or by clicking on our class schedule on our home page. We highly recommend downloading the FREE MindBody app for Apple or Android and finding our studio.

Q: Is it ok if I have zero experience in dance and/or gymnastics?

A: Yes! We all have to start at the beginning sometime. Our instructors take the time to be sure you are prepared to move on to the next level before you’re ready. You will start with the basics and work your way up as you feel comfortable. There is no pressure to move on if you’re not ready! We will teach you all that you need to know – no experience required. One of our most famous polers, Natasha Wang, had zero experience when she started, but she has the ability to move and make beautiful shapes with her body.

Q: I have no upper body strength, so I don’t think this class is for me.

A: With pole fitness and Silks, you start at the beginning and you get to learn the basics. You build your strength as you go. There is no pressure to do something you don’t feel comfortable with, and we won’t ask you to do something that your body isn’t ready for.

Q: I don’t think I’m sexy enough.

A: Sure you are. No matter how sexy (or unsexy) you feel, pole fitness ans Silks are a great workout for anyone. Not every routine has to be sexy. We all have our own style. You take what you learn and you make it your own.

Q: But I’m not flexible…and I have this old injury that deters me from participating in physical activity.

A: That’s ok! Everyone is different, and we will work with you to be sure that you are comfortable with the things we ask you to do. We won’t push you to do something you don’t feel comfortable with.
